However there are private institutes that hire native speakers with no degree.\u00a0 It is recommended to check with the Chilean ministry of Education to seek an employment opportunity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The main English teaching jobs available are:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Part time English language school positions, agencies (send teachers to different locations), teaching at private international schools, teaching at colleges \/ universities, private teaching (not through a school, agency, etc.)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the minimum teaching requirements?<\/strong><br \/>\nA degreed from any Chilean University.\u00a0 There are some British and American Universities that are registered where their degreed are accepted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What teaching requirements would you recommend?<\/strong><br \/>\nA Master or Ph&#8217;d in English Education in ESL or EFL language.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the levels of payment?<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; 18,000 Chilean pesos per hour in high school,<br \/>\n&#8211; 25,000 Chilean pesos per hour in college.<br \/>\nFor example: In a 40 hour month the salary would be 18,000X40 = 720,000 pesos.<br \/>\nAt the current rate of exchange this is approx. I applied and was selected from 5 candidates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My school facilities<\/strong>: Adequate &#8211; Our school building is old with no heating.
