There&#8217;s a site called Tus classes where you can find work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The main English teaching jobs available are:<br><\/strong>Full time English language school positions, part time English language school positions, teaching at private international schools, private teaching (not through a school, agency, etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the minimum teaching requirements?<br><\/strong>For academies and private, an ESL certificate or similar.  For schools probably a teaching degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What teaching requirements would you recommend?<\/strong><br><span class=\"s1\">Same as above.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the levels of payment?<\/strong><br>They vary, depending if you are on a contract or self employed.  Contract is pretty low. Self-employed 10 \u2013 25\u20ac depending on numbers.  Low pay is not a huge issue, as cost of living is not extortionate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How many teaching days a week is normal?<\/strong><br><span class=\"s1\">5 days per week.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How many face-to-face teaching hours a week is normal?<\/strong><br><span class=\"s1\">12 -20 hours per week.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the normal arrangement for holidays?<br><\/strong>School holidays, contract probably paid, academy\/self-employed unpaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What advice would you give to someone considering coming to Villanueva del Trabuco, Spain to teach English?<\/strong><br>Learn Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the positive aspects of teaching English in Villanueva del Trabuco, Spain?<\/strong><br>I find the majority of students and parents very willing to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the negative aspects for teaching English in Villanueva del Trabuco, Spain?<\/strong><br>I don\u00b4t really see any.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are some of the teaching challenges for English teachers teaching the local people in your area?<\/strong><br>Very low level, high requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Living in Villanueva del Trabuco, Spain:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Are there any visa or other legal requirements to live in Spain?<\/strong><br>For non Europeans yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the cost of living like in Spain?<\/strong><br><span class=\"s1\">Reasonable \u2013 cheap.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the usual accommodation arrangements and how can you find accommodation?<br><\/strong>Apartment rental, usually easy to find.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other than teaching, what positive aspects are there for living in Villanueva del Trabuco, Spain?<br><\/strong>The weather, lifestyle, students, food \u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other than teaching, what negative aspects are there for living in scenery, Spain?<\/strong><br>For me none\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What advice would you give to someone considering coming to Villanueva del Trabuco, Spain?<\/strong><br>Try to find a job first, or have a back-up fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What things do you miss most (other than family and friends) from your home country?<\/strong><br>Nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What do you think you will miss most when (or if) you leave your current location \/ country<\/strong><br>Everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What things would you recommend to new teachers in your area to bring with them from their home country?<\/strong><br>They don&#8217;t need to bring anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Me and My Work:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My Name<\/strong>: Dee Brown<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality<\/strong>: British<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students I&#8217;ve taught in Spain<\/strong>: toddlers (2-4 years), pre-school \/ kindergarten (4-6 years), elementary (6-12 years), junior high school (12-15 years), high school (15-18 years), university, adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where I teach<\/strong>: <span class=\"s1\">My own academy, Centro de Ense\u00f1anza.<\/span>  Teaching there for 9 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"stcpDiv\"><strong>How I found my current jobs<\/strong>: Started working at other academies, then set up my own.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My school facilities<\/strong>: Very good.
