Fun ESL Halloween flashcard game

Try this spooky “Trick or Treat!” game using your Halloween flashcards.

Lay out the Halloween cards around the classroom. Play some music while students walk around. Suddenly stop the music and shout out “Ding-dong!” (a door bell). Everyone must freeze and pick up the nearest Halloween card. Mime opening a front door for each student, and they say the character on their card: “Trick or treat! I’m a (mummy)!” Then they act it out — with a movement and the monster’s noise. Do for each student. After that round have students take turns “ringing” the bell.
